Desert Dog Offroad Adventures ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through https://www.azadventures.com and our booking process, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Booking & contact details you provide: name, email, phone number, group size, and tour preferences when you reserve a tour or contact us.
- Payment information processed securely by our booking provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Phone & text communications. When you call or text us, we keep records of the call or message (number, time, and duration). Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes, with notice provided on the call. If you call and we miss you, we may send a single text so you can reach us or book online; reply STOP to any text to opt out.
- Usage data collected automatically, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location, to help us improve the site.
How We Use Your Information
- To process and confirm your reservation and communicate about your tour.
- To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
- To improve our website, services, and marketing.
- To send occasional updates or offers by email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs promptly. Booking confirmations and tour-related messages are sent regardless, because you need them for your reservation.
Booking & Payments
Reservations and payments are handled by our third-party booking platform, FareHarbor. When you book, your information is processed under FareHarbor's terms and privacy practices in order to complete your transaction. We also keep a record of your booking history (name, contact details, and tour details, but never full card numbers) in our internal, access-restricted reservation system so we can serve you on the phone and honor your requests.
Cookies, Analytics & Advertising
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you choose which cookies we may use. Until you accept, we load only what the site needs to function, and analytics and advertising cookies stay off. We use Google Consent Mode, so your choice is applied before any tracking runs. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with theCookie Settings link in the footer.
The cookies fall into three groups:
- Essential (always on): needed for the site to work, such as remembering your cookie choice and enabling booking and forms.
- Analytics (your choice): Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, so we can see which pages and tours visitors view. If you decline, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless, privacy-preserving mode or not at all.
- Advertising (your choice): Google Ads, and Meta where applicable, used to measure phone calls, bookings and ad performance and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. Call and booking tracking counts these as conversions. It does not record or listen to your conversations.
You can also adjust ad personalization in yourGoogle ad settings andMeta ad preferences, and install Google's Analytics opt-out. Disabling cookies may affect some site features.
Website Chat Assistant
Our site includes an AI chat assistant ("Michelle") that answers questions about our tours. Messages you type into the chat are sent to our hosting provider and to Anthropic, the AI provider that generates the replies. Conversations are not used to train AI models, and we do not link them to a booking unless you share your contact details. Please do not enter payment card numbers or health information in the chat.
Forms and Lead Handling
When you share your name, email or phone number through the chat assistant or through our contact, bachelorette, careers or planning forms, we keep those details in our own lead records so we can follow up, and we email them to our team through our email delivery provider, Resend. We use this information only to answer your inquiry and help plan your tour.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate our business (such as our booking, analytics, AI chat, email delivery and lead-storage providers), or when required by law.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the data we handle.
Children's Privacy
Our site is intended for adults booking tours. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of marketing communications at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
