The staging area sits past Saguaro Lake in the Tonto National Forest. From Scottsdale, take the Loop 101 to the Beeline Highway (AZ‑87), then follow Bush Highway toward Saguaro Lake — or just let your map app do the work with the buttons above.
Before you lose signal
You’re heading into Tonto National Forest, where cell service is spotty. Open your directions and let them load while you’re still on Wi‑Fi, or take a quick screenshot. Tours run rain or shine, so come ready for the day’s weather.
Four simple steps
Arrive 15 minutes early
Give yourself time to park and sign the quick waiver before your tour begins.
Cross the cattle guard
Follow the dirt road in past the cattle guard at the entrance to the staging area.
Park in the back dirt lot
Pull into the dirt lot at the back — that’s where the adventure begins.
Meet your guide
Your guide will be there waiting, ready to gear you up and hit the trail.
