Cave Creek Bike Week
Every April the historic Western town of Cave Creek fills with motorcycles for ten days of live music, vendors, gypsy tours and builder showcases. Here’s what to know before you ride in — and how to add an open-desert adventure to the trip.
Ten days of motorcycles in a real Western town
Cave Creek Bike Week has been a Southwest springtime tradition for more than 25 years. Centered on the Hideaway Roadhouse and spilling across Cave Creek’s dusty, saloon-lined main drag, it turns the whole town into a rally for a week and a half of live bands, vendor rows, bike shows and organized gypsy tours through the surrounding high desert.
It overlaps with Arizona’s peak spring riding season and Scottsdale’s Arizona Bike Week, so the whole north Valley is buzzing with riders. Cave Creek’s laid-back, authentically Western feel is the draw — think open-air bars, boots and chrome rather than a corporate expo.

You’re already in the neighborhood — the trailhead is about 35 minutes from Old Town Scottsdale. Trade a few hours for open desert: you drive your own 800cc sand buggy on exclusive Sonoran Desert trails, no experience needed, an expert guide the whole way. Tours run every month of the year.
