Cactus League Spring Training is one of the Valley’s signature events: 15 Major League Baseball teams hold their preseason camps and exhibition games across ten intimate ballparks around Greater Phoenix, from late February through late March. The seats are close, the sun is out, and you can often catch players up close in a way that’s impossible during the regular season.

The Valley’s superpower is proximity — every Cactus League ballpark is within about a 45-minute drive of the others, so it’s easy to build a trip around multiple games. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (the Diamondbacks and Rockies) sits right in Scottsdale, with Scottsdale Stadium (the Giants) in the heart of Old Town, and it all overlaps with the Valley’s busiest, best-weather stretch of the year.
