5 Things to do in Scottsdale This Holiday Season

2021 is about to end, so let’s say good-bye to it with some good-old fashion Holiday cheer. Here are 5 things you can do in Scottsdale to spice it up this year!

1. Christmas at The Princess

A fan of luxury? Might want to kick back at The Princess, right here in Scottsdale. This 5-star hotel has all sorts of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy!. You could “chill”, quite literally, on their seasonal ice-skating rink, marvel at over 6-million lights strung from every corner possible, or sit down for a holiday meal with family and friends.

2. Desert Botanical Gardens at Los Noches

For 44 years, Desert Botanical at Los Noches has been decorating their immense and diverse population of plants in fun holiday digs, but did you know they also do live music? That’s right! Desert Botanical hosts a massive event full of color. If you can look past the scary spikes on the desert plants, you will notice they have been decorated with dazzling Christmas lights, illuminating the twisted nature trail as you progress through it, while maybe learning something new about the rare and exclusive desert plants as well.

3. Zoo Lights Phoenix Zoo

Zoo Lights has more than just animals, you know. Every Holiday season, they host massive light displays, nighttime safaris, animal presentations, and community performances. Zoo Lights has been taking on this tradition for 30 years, and you can be part of their family by taking advantage of this once-a-year event!

4. Desert Dog Offroad

Maybe the holidays can’t stop you from getting dirty. It’s time your family celebrated the holidays YOUR WAY and book a tour at Desert Dog Offroad. They have tours for all ages. Choose between a brand-new Ford Bronco or a two-person ATV Sand Buggy, depending on the amount of sand you want in your stockings. This Christmas, you could spot Santa driving around in his second vehicle, a bright red Bronco! You yourself could be driving one too, witnessing a winter sunset with hot chocolate and cookies, fit for Santa himself.

5. Tea Time at the Phoenician

Tea for the holidays! The Phoenician offers spectacular tea and spectacular ambience as well. This tried and true tradition includes finger sandwiches, scones with Devonshire cream and preserves, pastries and a selection of fine tea blends accompanied by contemporary played by renowned pianist Alan Comyns.  Make your holidays a little more English with the Pheonician!

We hope you enjoy your holiday and remember to include by Desert Dog as one of the 5 things you  do in Scottsdale!  See you soon!
